The 2024 Buick Envista Crossover Coupe will be priced under $24,000.

The 2024 Buick Envista is undeniably an attractive small fastback SUV, despite some compromises in its cargo area.

This crossover coupe is larger than the Encore GX but comes at a more affordable price, starting at just $23,495 for the base model. Even the top-end Avenir trim starts under $30,000, making it a budget-friendly option.

The Envista’s design is stylish and well-crafted, giving it a premium feel at its starting price of $23,495. It offers ample room, with a 106.3-inch wheelbase and an overall length of 182.6 inches, providing 4.1 inches more space between the wheel centers compared to the Encore GX and an 11.2-inch longer body.

However, while it is bigger than the Encore GX, the cargo area of the fastback Envista is slightly less spacious. With 20.7 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats in place and 42.0 cubic feet with the rear seatbacks folded, it falls short of the Encore GX’s cargo capacity by 2.8 and 8.2 cubic feet, respectively.

Powering the Envista is a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, delivering 136 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. Unlike the Encore GX, the Envista is available exclusively with front-wheel drive.

Given its power output and transmission, the Envista may not offer impressive acceleration, with estimates indicating it might be slower than the all-wheel-drive Encore GX, which took 9.3 seconds to reach 60 mph.

Buick will offer the Envista in three trims: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir. The top-line Avenir trim, starting at $29,695, includes 19-inch wheels and a Watt’s-link rear suspension, offering an upgraded rear end compared to the other trims.

All Envista models come equipped with features like an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.0-inch infotainment screen, automatic high-beam headlights, automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and lane-departure warning.

Although the 2024 Buick Envista may not deliver the dynamic performance enthusiasts desire, its attractive design and affordable price are likely to garner interest among today’s automotive consumers.
