Tailor-Made Ferrari 812 Competizione Is a Sketcher’s Paradise

The Ferrari 812 Competizione Tailor Made is one of only 999 ever made, and its exterior design is unlike any other.

The front and inside are both painted a matte yellow, evoking the blank sheet of paper used in the design process.

The one-off vehicle made its premiere at Monterey Car Week, and on October 17, it will be auctioned off at the Ferrari Gala in New York City to raise money for charity.

Having your pals scribble on your face with a permanent marker is one thing, but taking a Sharpie to an exotic sports car that costs $600,000 or more is quite another.

n its place comes a one-off yellow V-12—powered coupe with extensive black markings that serves as a tribute to the Italian automaker’s design philosophy.

Ferrari’s stylists and its Tailor Made customizing division collaborated on this one-of-a-kind 812, which was inspired by Ferrari’s chief design officer, Flavio Manzoni, and the blank-sheet design process.
