True to its namesake, the Sapphire even has a blueish sheen to its center console. The cabin is further improved by the sporty two-spoke steering, which is also quite attractive.

The term “semi-autonomous driving” is referred to as “DreamDrive” in Lucid’s lingo. This is standard on the Sapphire but can be upgraded on the more affordable Air models. It’s nice to know that unlike some other high-end models, the Sapphire includes this capability as standard equipment. Without any intervention from the driver, it monitors its surroundings with a suite of sensors and LIDAR and adjusts its course, speed, and braking accordingly. However, it is still only partially autonomous, so it is essential to maintain human control at all times. But the fact that all of these high-end conveniences come standard makes the car that much more appealing.
