2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz Arrives with Brawnier-Looking XRT Trim

Hyundai-Santa-Cruz

After three years on the market, Hyundai adds a new Santa Cruz trim level. The SEL Premium trim level has been replaced by the newer, more rugged-looking XRT for the 2024 Santa Cruz lineup. This version of the compact pickup is available alongside the Tucson, Palisade, and Santa Fe.

What do you get with the XRT if you’re looking for an exciting journey? When you choose this package, your truck will get new fender flares, lower door garnishes, side steps, bed rails, and orange center caps. The truck also now has black mirror caps and door handles, as well as unique XRT badging on the tailgate.

Black cloth seats, an automatic dimming rearview mirror, adaptive cruise control, and leather upholstery are just some of the features found inside the XRT.

The Santa Cruz sees minimal additional updates. Both the base model’s naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder (191 hp, 181 lb-ft of torque) and the XRT’s standard turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder (281 hp, 311 lb-ft of torque) supply the vehicle’s motivation. The naturally aspirated engine keeps its torque-converter automatic while the turbo engine uses a dual-clutch transmission.

For the year 2024, we’ve upgraded some of the default settings. All Santa Cruz models in 2024 come standard with LED headlights and a steering wheel that provides haptic feedback for lane-keep assist and blind-spot detection. The SEL trim now comes standard with dual-zone automatic climate control and an auto defogger, and the 10.3-inch center touchscreen is standard on SEL models with the Activity Package.

The base price for the 2024 truck is $27,985, and the top of the line, the Limited, costs $42,405. The base price for the new XRT model is $41,185.
